JOIN THE MUSEUM ADVISORY BOARD
The Ellenville Public Library & Museum Board of Trustees seeks letters of intent from members of the community with an interest in serving on the Museum Advisory Board (MAB). The board is looking to fill two open positions. The Museum Advisory Board (MAB) is responsible for the evaluation of the local history museum, Terwilliger House, and shall meet periodically to discuss matters relative to the museum, making recommendations on such to the Board of Trustees. Members of the advisory board also assist with various events at Terwilliger House throughout the year including Night At The Museum, our July 4th Community Celebration, at our Warwasing Wassail sponsored events and museum work days. Members serve three year terms.
The Museum Advisory Board (MAB) meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM at Terwilliger House. Joint quarterly meetings are held in conjunction with the Board of Trustees. The Board is looking for enthusiastic, team players with fresh perspectives and an interest in volunteering their time to support one of Ellenville’s architectural jewels and helping to preserve our local history for future generations to come.
Letters of intent should be sent to the Ellenville Public Library & Museum Attn: Board of Trustees 40 Center Street Ellenville, NY 12428 by Friday, March 15th.
For additional information or questions, please contact the Library Director at 845-647-5530.

About Terwilliger House
A late nineteenth century Queen Anne Victorian house
built in 1895 by George Deyo, Terwilliger House is the perfect setting for Ellenville Public Library & Museum’s local history collection. This outstanding collection includes artifacts from Ellenville Glass Works and stoneware from Ellenville Pottery, as well as products of industries that flourished in the heyday of the Delaware and Hudson Canal. Glass plate negatives, historic postcards, oral history CDs, and research files containing articles, ephemera and photographs make EPL&M’s museum holdings a community treasure trove.
“The Museum of the Ellenville Public Library & Museum will be the repository and custodian of local history and fake patek philippe artifacts, which will strengthen communal bonds, foster exploration and discovery of our shared heritage, enhance imagination and provide inspiration for the future.”
