Physical Passes:
Our library has several physical passes which can be checked out from our library by Ellenville Public Library and Museum cardholders. These passes are only available for Ellenville Public Library and Museum Cardholders over the age of 18, and cannot be placed on hold. They operate on a first-come first-serve basis. All physical passes have a $10/day late fee.
The Empire Pass: This pass allows for free parking for one vehicle at most facilities operated by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. This pass can be checked out for 3 days. Currently, EPL&M owns one Empire Pass.
The Mohonk Preserve Pass: This pass allows one individual to visit the Mohonk Preserve during its hours of operation: 9am-5pm daily except Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve after 12:00pm Noon, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. Only one pass may be checked out at any given time on a library card. Library card holders must be 18 years or older to check out a pass. The library currently owns 4 passes.
The Hudson River Maritime Museum Pass: This pass may be used for individuals or a small group, and allows free entry to the Hudson River Maritime Museum only. The library currently owns 4 passes. Passes may be checked out for 3 days.
**Temporarily Unavailable** Storm King Art Center Pass: This pass may be used for admission of one six person car with a limit of one reservation per day during public and member-only hours. The library currently owns one pass. Passes may be checked out for three days. **Temporarily Unavailable**
Motorcyclepedia Museum Pass: This pass may be used for two guests for admission to the Motorcylepedia Museum. Children under 3 years old can get in free without a pass. The library currently owns one pass. Passes may be checked out for three days.
Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum: This pass gives free admission to one family (a group of five individuals) to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum. It is not valid for the president’s home or any of the other Roosevelt sites. Passes are valid for only the date specified. Bearers must bring ID.
Time and the Valleys Museum Pass: This pass will admit two adults and two children under the age of 12 to the Time and the Valleys Museum during Museum hours or by appointment. The library owns one pass at this time.
Digital Museum Passes:
Digital Museum Passes are available for Ellenville Public Library and Museum Cardholders through the Ulster County Library Association. Passes must be reserved online for a specific date, and availability varies from day to day. Each museum has different guidelines for how the passes are used, how many people can use a given pass for entry, as well as any other pertinent information.
