Does your family have what it takes to tackle our Spring Reading Challenge?
Kids ages 4-11 can work with their families to take part in our Family Reading Challenge to get everyone reading for fun prizes!
During the 11 weeks of the challenge, families just have to meet the reading requirements for at least 6 weeks to earn prizes for the participating family members. Families can complete the challenge together as a group, individually, or a combination of both. Reading Challenge sheets will be available starting February 23rd.

Many women fought against getting the vote, but none with more charm, prettier clothes—and less logic—than the fictional speaker in this satiric monologue written by Pro-Suffragist Marie Jenney Howe, in 1912.
With insight and good humor, Howeturned the Antis’ own arguments against them. Michèle LaRue’s lively and revealing lecture puts these in historical context.
“Ladies, get what you want. Pound pillows. Make a scene. Make home a hell on earth—but do it in a womanly way! That is so much more dignified and refined than walking up to a ballot box and dropping in a piece of paper!”

In this two-part craft event, you will be able to make your very own book nook! Book nooks are a craft in which people create miniature scenes in a box the size of a thick book, which sits in between your books on a bookshelf. We will be using kits for this craft. Book nooks can be tricky for beginners in a rush! Please be aware that this craft involves small pieces and lots of patience! EPL&M Patrons have priority.
In this set of classes, Kristina will familiarize participants with some of the foundational poses of a well-rounded yoga practice. Focusing on alignment, breath and centering your attention, this class is great for beginners or those looking for a refresher on basic yoga postures. Yoga is different in every body and this class is all about taking the time to find what works for you.
Some props that may enhance your experience: a blanket or large towel, small pillow or cushion. EPLM has a limited number of mats and blankets available. To register, call (845)647-5530, or email epl@rcls.org.
